Snorkeling in Sian Ka'an

South of Tulum, the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve stretches across mangroves, lagoons, and reef, largely untouched by the development found further up the coast. This tour brings travelers into that reserve by boat, combining wildlife viewing with snorkeling and a stop at a natural sinkhole, before finishing with lunch on the beach.

The day starts with hotel pickup and an air-conditioned vehicle ride to a station in Tulum, from which the group is driven overland toward Punta Allen rather than navigating the rough coastal road independently. Once in the village, a short tour on foot precedes boarding the boat that carries the group out into the biosphere itself. Along the way, there's a chance to spot dolphins in their natural habitat and the sea turtles that live within the reserve, before the boat reaches a reef area for snorkeling with equipment provided as part of the tour.
