Croc´s & Turtle Aquarium

This half-day tour combines a boat trip through the Ventanilla lagoon with a stop at the turtle aquarium in Mazunte. Pickup is at 9:00 am, and you're back around 3:00 pm.

From your hotel, it's about an hour and a half along Highway 200 to Ventanilla. There you walk a trail for about 10 minutes before boarding a paddle boat for a 15-minute ride across the lagoon to an island, where you can see iguanas, crocodiles, white-tailed deer and spider monkeys. After the island visit there's a roughly 15-minute break under a palapa for a cold drink before heading back to the boat.

From the boat landing you walk to the van for the drive to Mazunte, where you visit the turtle aquarium before heading back to your hotel.

This is a good fit for travelers who want to combine wildlife viewing with a relatively short, structured outing rather than a full-day tour. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness, given the trail walking and boat ride; it's not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health, and service animals are allowed.

Bottled water is included; alcoholic beverages and breakfast are not. Your guide will be at your hotel fifteen minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
