El Pan Nuestro was founded in 1982 on the initiative of Don Jesús Escalera and Doña Victoria Montes; from the start she was very clear about the name: "El Pan Nuestro", which at first specialized in fine pastry and gourmet coffee. ​ Ten years later it began its restaurant–bar service; and today we also sell a range of high-quality gourmet products, some made by ourselves and others imported. We carry imported products from establishments known for their quality: cheeses and wines from Mexico, Argentina, Spain and Italy, among others. ​ El Pan Nuestro has now been operating for more than thirty years, today under the skillful management of Don Jesús and Doña Victoria's daughter,
