La Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue)
The pedestrian promenade is lined with restaurants, boutiques, jewelry shops, and bars — particularly lively in the evening. From here, a short walk to the beach or the Cozumel ferry pier.
The Beaches
Clear Caribbean blue stretching for kilometers. Mamita's and Kool Beach Club are popular. Free access points exist throughout town for those who prefer to bring their own umbrella.
From Tulum
Colectivos depart Tulum Pueblo every 10–15 minutes throughout the day — 45–60 minutes, 60–80 pesos. Playa del Carmen is also the departure point for the Cozumel ferry.
