Playa Pescadores (Fishermen's Beach) is where Tulum locals actually go to the beach. Free access, no lounger fees, no dress codes. Fishing boats dot the sand, Mexican families spread umbrellas, and small palapas serve cold beer and fresh ceviche at local prices.
Atmosphere
This is Tulum outside the Instagram feed — more families, more dogs, more genuine hospitality. Prices at the small restaurants are a fraction of hotel zone costs. Fishing boats return in the morning; you can often buy directly from the fishermen.
Swimming
Water is typically calm, warm, and clear. No organized activities — bring your own snorkel gear. Rocky areas at either end of the beach are worth exploring.
Getting There
Walking or cycling distance from Tulum Pueblo center. Head east from the main square toward the coast — about 15–20 minutes by bicycle. No entrance fee.
