Live this unique experience in the Mayan Jungle with Buffet, Zipline & Rappel

Deep in the Riviera Maya, the jungle canopy hides a circuit built for a single day of full-throttle adventure. This tour combines three distinct worlds in one outing: the treetops, where a zip line circuit sends you gliding above the forest floor; the cliffside, where a guided rappel takes you back down to earth; and the underground, where a cenote waits beneath the limestone with cool, clear water and centuries-old rock formations. It is a jungle adventure built around movement, from air to rock face to water, and it wraps up with a shared meal before the ride back to your hotel.

The day begins with hotel pickup, after which the group heads into the Mayan jungle to start the circuit of activities. The zip line portion is the centerpiece for many travelers: seven lines strung through the trees, offering five different styles of ride so the circuit never feels repetitive. Each line pushes you a little further along the canopy, with the adrenaline building as you move from one platform to the next.

Once the lines are behind you, the tour shifts from flying to descending. A rappel drop takes you down a rock face using mountaineering-style equipment, guided step by step so you can lower yourself at your own pace rather than free-falling. From there the group moves underground, where a cenote opens up beneath the jungle floor. Fitted with a life jacket, mask and snorkel, you swim through crystal-clear water past the stalactites and stalagmites that formed inside the cave over thousands of years, a quieter, cooler contrast to the height and speed of what came before. Once everyone is out of the water, a buffet with drinks is served before the drive back to the hotel.

This tour suits travelers who want more than one adrenaline activity packed into a single day and are comfortable moving between them without much downtime. Because it pairs a zip line circuit with a rappel descent and a swim, it appeals to people who might otherwise have to book three separate excursions to get all three experiences. It is not a passive sightseeing day: the additional information notes that participants should have a high level of physical fitness, and the tour is not recommended for those with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or for pregnant travelers. Basic swimming skills are required for the cenote portion, and children under six may only take part under a family member's direct supervision.

Because the itinerary moves through zip lining, rappelling and swimming in fairly quick succession, wear clothing and closed-toe shoes suited to activity in warm, humid conditions, and be ready to get wet during the cenote swim. Snorkeling gear, including a mask, snorkel and life jacket, is provided as part of the tour, along with a bilingual guide and medical insurance for the day. If you have any health conditions or physical limitations, the operator asks that you reach out before booking so they can advise on whether the tour is a good fit.

Pickup is arranged directly with your hotel; if your accommodation is not on the standard list, the operator will contact you by email or text to confirm the exact pickup time and location once you provide your hotel name, since schedules vary by property. The buffet and drinks served at the end of the day are included in the price, as is the zip line circuit, the rappel, and the cenote snorkeling. Gratuities, souvenirs, and any photos or videos taken during the activities are not included and would be an added cost if you want to bring home a record of the day.
