Holbox Bioluminescence Experience and Photo with Stars

This is a night-time bioluminescence outing on Holbox that also gives you time for photos under the stars. The operator sets it apart from other tours by its close treatment, small groups and clear explanations, and by the way each outing is adapted to the conditions of the day to give the best possible visibility. The whole experience lasts 90 minutes, of which about 60 are at the site.

It begins with a transfer to a quiet part of the island, away from light pollution. During the trip the guides explain what bioluminescence is and how the phenomenon occurs, so you arrive knowing what you are about to see.

Once there, you can walk or swim in shallow water. Each movement makes the sea light up with blue flashes, an effect the operator likens to swimming among stars. You will also have time to look at the night sky, take pictures and relax in a completely natural setting.

Local guides accompany you throughout, give safety recommendations and keep the atmosphere intimate. The experience suits anyone looking for something different in the evening, including families, since infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller and infants sit on an adult's lap.
