ATV Jorullo Bridge Puerto Vallarta

This ATV tour crosses the Jorullo Bridge in the Sierra Madre Occidental, above Puerto Vallarta, and includes a stop at the El Salto waterfall and a tequila tasting. The whole outing lasts about 300 minutes. You drive a semi-automatic ATV, guided by a professional, with a shuttle service and safety equipment included.

The adventure begins with a ride of about 45 minutes along scenic dirt trails, with the ATV taking you through the transition zone between desert and subtropical ecosystems. Along the route you pass the surroundings of El Salto Waterfall and stop to enjoy its crystal-clear waters, a good break before the main event.

The highlight is the crossing of what the operator describes as the world's longest vehicular suspension bridge. It stretches 470 meters (1,540 feet) and hangs 150 meters (490 feet) above the Cuale River. The itinerary gives this segment about 180 minutes and describes the crossing as an adrenaline rush. The outing ends with a tequila tasting and a short tour around it.

Included are a welcome drink, a professional guide, pickup and drop-off from designated meeting points, all necessary equipment and the tequila tasting. The minimum age is 18, and a driver's license is required on the day of the tour. You must also pay vehicle insurance on the day, 10 USD per person, which is mandatory to take the tour; you may present a credit card as guarantee instead. Light clothing, a swimsuit and comfortable shoes are recommended. Moderate fitness is expected, and the tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers or for people with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health.
