Canopy Los Veranos Zipline

Los Veranos Canopy near Puerto Vallarta is described by the operator as the original zipline system in the area and the largest in the world, with 19 zip lines. The day is listed at about five hours, and you choose between Apex boats and jungle trucks for the transport.

Departure points include the marina at La Cruz and Marina Paradise at Nuevo Vallarta, among others. If you choose the boat, you cross the bay and see it as you go, for about an hour. Note that boat transportation is not available on weekends.

Los Veranos sits in the Jalisco Sierra Madre, a natural setting of trees, plants, rivers and birds. You spend about three hours here flying from side to side on the ziplines above the jungle and the Los Horcones River. The longest zip line is 1,800 feet. Highly trained zip-line experts look after your safety throughout.

The rest of the visit is more relaxed: cool off in natural river pools, slide down water slides, try tequila and, if you want, explore the exotic animal sanctuary. Tequila tasting is only for visitors over 21, and ID is requested. Lunch is at the riverfront Los Veranos Café, but lunch and drinks are not included in the price.

The trip back to the original meeting point takes about an hour and passes through Puerto Vallarta without stopping.

This is a physical activity. Travelers should have at least a moderate fitness level, and it is not recommended for pregnant travelers or those with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health. Service animals are allowed. Transportation from your hotel to the meeting point, souvenirs and extra snacks are not included, and tips are not included but greatly appreciated.
