Cerro del Mono Hiking Adventure in Punta Mita

This is a guided hike up Cerro del Mono in Punta Mita, a walk through jungle that ends at a summit with panoramic views over the bay. The activity lasts about 120 minutes and mixes physical exercise with time in nature, led by bilingual guides who share local insights along the way.

The route takes you through lush jungle on the way up, and the reward is the view from the top, where the whole bay opens out below you. The operator says there are several departure times each day, which gives you some flexibility when planning your schedule. Safety equipment is provided, and during the outing you are given water, fruit and granola bars to keep your energy up.

The hike is aimed at people in good physical condition. The operator sets a minimum age of 10 years, and asks that travelers have at least a moderate level of fitness. It is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health or who are pregnant.

Round-trip transportation is included, but it depends on where you are staying. The operator says it can be arranged, with prior authorization, for guests at Hotel Palladium, Hotel Iberostar, Hotel Conrad Punta de Mita, Marival Armony and Secrets Bahia Mita, so let them know in advance. It is not available for guests of St. Regis Punta Mita, Four Seasons Punta Mita or W Punta de Mita.

Keep in mind that pick-up is not offered in Puerto Vallarta; the closest meeting point is the OXXO in Flamingos. The price includes the guides, the transportation described above, bottled water, fruit, granola bars and safety equipment. It does not include food, gratuities or souvenirs.
