Jungle Bike Tour

The Jungle Bike Tour is a guided mountain-bike ride through the Sierra de Vallejo, in the Sierra Madre Occidental. Depending on trail conditions and the group's ability, the route may cross dry and semi-dry forest, grassland and sections of humid mountain forest, including oak and conifer forest. The guides adapt the route and pace for beginner and intermediate riders and keep the group together.

The experience starts with bicycle fitting and a safety briefing, followed by guided trail riding. The listing is not fully consistent on timing: the description speaks of an approximately two-hour experience, the itinerary lists about 90 minutes of guided riding, and the total is given as about 3 hours from pickup to drop-off, including round-trip transportation and preparation. The starting trailhead and route can change with weather, trail conditions and safety considerations, and final pickup and starting-location details are confirmed before the activity.

This ride is for people with at least a moderate level of fitness who are comfortable on uneven mountain trails in warm or humid conditions. Because the group travels together, you need to be able to keep up with the guide's pace. Riders must be able to ride independently, as training wheels are not available. The description gives a minimum age of 10, with riders aged 10 to 17 taking part alongside an adult, while the itinerary says 12; confirm the age limit when you book.

Included are bottled water, a bilingual guide, a bicycle, a helmet and round-trip transportation from designated pickup points. Photos or videos taken by the staff can be bought separately at the end of the tour.

The tour is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, for those with poor cardiovascular health or for pregnant travelers. No meeting point is listed, so check pickup details when booking.
