Private 38ft Boat Charter: Fishing & Snorkeling Cruise

This is a private charter across Banderas Bay aboard 'Nicolle', a 38-foot Bertram yacht that the operator describes as legendary and known for a stable, comfortable ride. It takes up to 8 passengers and is fully customizable, so you and your group can shape the day around fishing, snorkeling, or a mix of both.

The cruise follows the coastline of the bay, and the crew looks for wild dolphins along the way while you take in panoramic views of the mountains of Puerto Vallarta. One stop is at Los Arcos Marine Park, described as a marine park teeming with wildlife, where you snorkel among tropical fish and coral reefs for about 60 minutes. The boat can also head to secluded beaches.

For anglers, the boat goes to the bay's best seasonal spots for about 120 minutes. Rods, bait, hooks and official fishing licenses for everyone on board are included. If you catch a fish, the bilingual crew will clean it and prepare fresh traditional ceviche on board, which is a nice way to end the outing.

You can board at either of two docks: Marina Los Peines in Puerto Vallarta, or the Paradise Village Pier in Nuevo Vallarta. Choose the one that is closer to where you are staying. The trip suits families and fishing groups alike, and it is suitable for all physical fitness levels. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Included in the price: bottled water, lunch, snacks, snorkeling equipment and the fishing gear. Not included: gratuities, private transportation, entrance fees and beach towels, so bring your own for snorkeling. Refunds are not issued if the tour is missed because a cruise ship arrives late or not at all, and the tour may be operated by a multi-lingual guide.
