Private Boat Tour to Yelapa

This private boat tour crosses the bay to Yelapa, a quiet village on its southern coast known for the kind of pace that suits travelers who just want to slow down — settling into a beach chair, taking in the sun, and enjoying a cold drink.

Once in Yelapa, there's plenty of beach for swimming or parasailing, and the village itself can be explored on foot or by mule. During the rainy season, from August through November, the local waterfall becomes a highlight worth seeking out.

Since the boat is private, the day's pace is largely up to the group rather than a fixed schedule shared with strangers, giving more flexibility to split time between the beach, the village, and the waterfall when it's running.

The tour includes bottled water and life jackets. It doesn't include gratuities, hotel pickup and drop-off, towels, or lunch, so plan to bring your own towel and arrange transportation to the departure point separately. Yelapa charges a port entrance fee of $2 USD per person (about 41 Mexican pesos), which is also not included in the tour price.

The tour requires at least a moderate level of physical fitness. Service animals are allowed, infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller, and public transportation options are available nearby. Cruise ship passengers need to provide their ship name, docking time, disembarkation time, and re-boarding time at the time of booking, and the operator notes that refunds aren't issued if the tour is missed because a cruise ship arrives late or doesn't arrive at all.
