Private Tour 3 Hours of Whale Watching

This is a private three-hour whale-watching outing on the bay of Puerto Vallarta. Local captains who know the area take you out on the water, and the operator explains that humpback whales return to the bay every year at this time of year to mate and have their calves. The description also speaks of pods arriving in large numbers on these dates.

The trip starts with boarding at the Los Peines dock. From there the boat heads into the bay, and once the animals are located the captain begins to follow them. The tour lasts 180 minutes in total. One detail to note: the itinerary text mentions searching for dolphins, while the title and description speak of whales, so it is worth confirming what to expect when you book.

The description says that with luck you can watch the whales jump and see their calves very close to the boat. As with any wildlife outing, sightings depend on what the animals do that day, and the listing makes no promise beyond what is described here.

The private format suits families and small groups. The operator describes the outing as ideal for children and families, and the additional information notes that infants are required to sit on an adult's lap. The boat is listed as wheelchair accessible, with all areas and surfaces accessible, and service animals are allowed. It is suitable for all physical fitness levels.

For the practical side, bottled water, a whale guide and life vests are included. You may bring whatever you like to drink or eat, and the boat carries a cooler with ice on top. Public transportation options are available nearby. No meeting point is listed beyond the Los Peines dock, so confirm the details when you book.
