Puerto Vallarta Best Zipline Canopy + Tequila and Speed Boat Ride
The experience
This full-day adventure at Los Veranos combines ziplines, a speedboat ride, a rescued-animal sanctuary and time on the Horcones River. The operator describes it as the world's biggest zipline tour and a complete jungle experience, with 19 ziplines, and says it has been ranked among the top 10% of attractions worldwide with TripAdvisor's Best of the Best award. It lasts about five hours, depending on your selected pickup point.
There are two departure options, by land or by sea. The sea option reaches the jungle by speedboat, and the operator reports that the ziplines are the highest and longest in Mexico. The course includes water stations, and the site offers private riverside trails and eco-focused guides.
Beyond the ziplines, the price includes kayaks, water slides and other water activities on the river, weather permitting, along with a traditional tequila tasting and round-trip transportation by land or sea. You can also relax by the river, sample the in-house tequilas or eat at the cafe, though food and drinks are not included in the price.
Some extras add up: a port fee of $33 pesos (2 USD), required for boat departures and payable in cash or by card at the office, is not part of the listed price. Admission fees, photo and video services, and hotel pickup and drop-off are also not included. Bring extra cash or a card for lunch and souvenirs.
The operator recommends comfortable shoes, a swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen, insect repellent and a camera with a strap. Arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before your departure time. The tour is not recommended for travelers over 285 lbs (129 kg), pregnant women, or anyone with a heart condition, chronic back pain or shoulder problems, and it requires at least a moderate level of physical fitness. The land option is suggested for those who want to enjoy the other activities without doing the ziplines. Infants must sit on an adult's lap. The minimum age and height are listed unclearly (5 years, under 40 inches), so confirm them before booking.
