Puerto Vallarta VIP Promotional Tour

CityFunTastic is described as a promotional tour to get to know Puerto Vallarta: its areas, its news and the week's activity agenda, so you can plan your own outings from the hotel. The operator says its aim is to make you fall in love with the city, and that each experience combines an induction, an experience and some interaction. After the tour, you will know where the restaurant areas, several beaches and most of the tourist icons are.

The tour is done by private transportation with air conditioning. The first stops apply only to passengers who start in Nuevo Vallarta or Marina Vallarta. There the route leaves the traditional path to show how residents live: houses, a new mosaic mural, the golf course and part of the estuary with its flora and fauna, including the possibility of seeing crocodiles. It continues through the North Hotel Zone, the El Salado estuary and the maritime terminal for cruises and sea tours.

In the Historic Center, the group goes down to the seaside boardwalk, walks through the Plaza de Armas in front of the Municipal Palace and explores the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe with its adobe brick tower and crown of angels (about 45 minutes). There is a short presentation and tasting of Mexican flavors and aromas (20 minutes), then time in the Romantic Zone with its adobe houses and red tile roofs, the tile plaza and the Olas Altas pier (20 minutes). You also see Plaza de los Azulejos in Lázaro Cárdenas park, decorated with thousands of colored tiles (10 minutes).

Craft stops follow. One is an artisanal jewelry workshop where silver and fire opal are worked by local artisans (30 minutes), and another is a saddlery workshop run by a family with a tradition in leather art (30 minutes). A short photo stop at a viewpoint lets you see the Los Arcos Marine Natural Park, home to seabirds such as pelicans and gulls (10 minutes).

Later the group visits an artisanal tequila distillery, where a local family explains the origin of tequila, the planting, cultivation, jima and distillation, followed by a tasting of all their tequilas, which is included in the rate (40 minutes). Then you visit a tropical animal shelter near the Horcones River, dedicated to the rehabilitation and protection of local species (20 minutes). The last stop is a restaurant in the mountains and jungle, with terraces and Mexican cuisine and tropical drinks, including margaritas (60 minutes).

The rate includes private transportation, all tastings and presentations, bottled water and in-vehicle air conditioning. Lunch and gratuities are not included. It is not recommended for babies, pregnant travelers, people with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health, or people with mobility problems, and it does not include swimming in the sea or the river.
