Sayulita and San Pancho Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta

This day trip leaves Puerto Vallarta for two beach towns on the Riviera Nayarit: San Pancho and Sayulita. It is a private outing with transportation included, about a 45-minute drive to the Riviera Nayarit, and it runs for roughly seven hours in total.

The route crosses the Ameca river, and along the way your local guide shares the history of the region and some of its traditions. As the road climbs you pass through the lush jungle of the Sierra Vallejo, described as home to jaguars and other wild cats. Local fruit is tasted along the way.

You then have about an hour and a half to enjoy the beach and have lunch, followed by a short walk around the plaza (about 30 minutes) to take photos and see Huichol art and other local art forms. There is time for shopping and swimming.
