Sierra Madre Hike & Rancho Experience

This is a five-hour hiking day that takes you out of the city and into the Mexican countryside, in the foothills of the Sierra Madre. It combines a walk, a rural setting and a tequila tasting in one outing.

The hike passes through local villages and along scenic mountain trails. The source does not give a distance or route, so ask the operator about the exact trail when you book.

The reward at the end is a rancho in the Sierra Madre foothills. There you have a Mexican barbecue lunch, and the description promises unlimited margaritas and an artisanal tequila tasting, followed by free time to relax by the pool. The tequila tasting is limited to adults aged 18 and over.

The outing suits people who like to walk and want a day mixing activity with food and drink. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. It is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health, nor for pregnant travelers.

Practical details: private transportation, bottled water, alcoholic beverages and lunch are included. Nothing is listed as excluded. Service animals are allowed and public transportation options are available nearby. The listing does not specify a meeting point, so check your booking confirmation.
