Sierra Madre Horseback Riding Tour

This horseback riding tour takes you into the Sierra Madre on a trained horse, following nature trails, rivers and old mountain paths. The excursion lasts about five hours in total and is described as suitable for beginners as well as for people who already ride.

Local expert guides accompany you throughout the ride. The tour is designed to be relaxed, with time to enjoy the quiet of the countryside and the scenery around the trail. Before you set off, a welcome drink is served and seasonal fruit is offered, and purified water is provided during the excursion.

The finale is a walk across the Jorullo Bridge, presented as the longest vehicular suspension bridge in the world. You cross it on foot. The riding and trail portion is listed as roughly 240 minutes of the full experience.

There is no age or fitness barrier beyond a few limits. The minimum age is 12 years and the weight limit is 100 kg (220 pounds). The tour is suitable for all fitness levels, but it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnant travelers or people with poor cardiovascular health.
