Beach Tour in Yucalpetén from Mérida

This is a relaxed beach day from Mérida, scheduled for about 540 minutes. You are taken to a beach club in Yucalpetén, on the Yucatán coast, and the day ends at Puerto Progreso to watch the sunset before you are driven back to your hotel.

The bulk of the itinerary, about 360 minutes, is free time at the beach club. According to the source, the club has a restaurant, pools, palapas, bathrooms and showers, and there is a beach for walking. You can swim in the sea or in one of the pools, or simply rest by the shore and enjoy the scenery.

Food and drinks at the club are not included, so you can choose a meal or your favorite drink at the restaurant and pay for it there.

Late in the day, the group goes to the pier at Puerto Progreso, where the itinerary allots about 60 minutes. You can watch the sunset, walk along the seawall, buy souvenirs or try a marquesita, a local dessert. After that, the driver takes you back to your hotel.

The tour suits travelers who prefer a day of leisure over an active program. It is listed as suitable for all physical fitness levels, infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller, infants must sit on an adult’s lap, and public transportation options are available nearby. The price includes private transportation, access to the beach club, an air-conditioned vehicle and a guide; lunch, souvenirs and tips are not included. The team will pick you up where you indicate: wait at the hotel door 10 minutes before the pickup time, and look for GreCa Tours badges and a sign with your name.
