Chichen Itza Premium (We leave DE Merida Yucatan)

This premium day trip leaves from Merida and is designed so you can see the most in one day without paying for two or three separate tours. The listing gives it about 600 minutes and combines a colonial town, two cenotes, a major archaeological site and a buffet meal, with a tour conductor who helps you throughout the day.

The first stop is a town visit, where the conductor shows you the main points of interest: the main square, the Convent of San Antonio de Padua, the Pyramid of Kinich Kakmo and a shop selling henequen fiber crafts (about 60 minutes). You then go to the first cenote, where you can swim in turquoise, mineralized water filtered through the limestone of the Yucatan Peninsula. Bring a towel and a change of clothes (about 60 minutes).

A second cenote follows, also for swimming, with an open-sky view, surrounded by native vegetation and the Mayan birds known as Tho (about 60 minutes).

At the archaeological site, the tour conductor accompanies you to the ticket office and takes you to the main entrance, where you enter freely to see one of the new seven wonders of the modern world. Wear a hat and comfortable shoes (about 120 minutes). Note that the conductor helps you throughout the tour, without entering the archaeological sites. The last stop is a buffet meal with typical regional dishes (about 45 minutes).

The tour suits travelers with limited time who want variety. It is described as suitable for all fitness levels and wheelchair accessible, with specialized infant seats available, and infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Infants must sit on an adult's lap, and it is not recommended for pregnant travelers. Service animals are allowed.
