Merida : Private Transfer to Chichen Itza Video Mapping

This is a night trip from Mérida to Chichen Itza to see the video mapping, the light and sound show projected on the pyramid of Kukulcan. Private transportation takes you there and back, and the listed duration is 300 minutes, of which about 180 minutes are given to the show itself.

The evening starts with a walk through the ruins. You are free to move around and take photos while the buildings are lit in different colors. When the show begins you can stand or sit on the ground to watch. The operator describes the presentation as telling stories of love, war, life and death, and says that being at Chichen Itza at night feels like entering a different world.

The tour suits travelers who want to see the site in a different setting from a daytime visit, and those who like cultural events built around Mayan mythology. It is suitable for all physical fitness levels, though you should expect to spend time on your feet or seated on the ground.

Note what the price does not cover. Only private transportation is included: dinner and admission fees are extra, so budget for the ticket to the show and plan where to eat before or after. On pickup, the operator only collects travelers from hotels, hostels or cafes in the city center. When booking, say whether you are staying at the selected hotel or simply using it as a meeting point.
