The experience
This shared, early-morning tour gets you to Chichen Itza — one of the New Seven Wonders of the World — with a schedule built around beating the crowds, then getting you back with time left in the day.
Pickup is at 6:00 AM, followed by a roughly 90-minute journey to the site, during which your guide shares background on Maya history and civilization to set up the visit.
You'll be among the first to enter the archaeological zone, which means clearer photos with fewer crowds. Certified guides lead the visit, covering the history of the site and answering questions as you go, for about two and a half hours of exploration.
Around 10:30 AM the group heads back toward Merida, with drop-off around noon, leaving the rest of the day free to explore the city or continue with other plans.
Because the schedule is fast-paced and the site involves walking across an open, largely unshaded archaeological zone, it suits travelers comfortable with a full but efficient day out; the tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels.
Transportation for the group and a certified tour guide are included. The entrance fee to Chichen Itza, meals, and gratuities are not included, and note that the site's entrance fee must be paid in Mexican pesos.
Public transportation options are available near the route, and no fixed meeting point is listed beyond your scheduled pickup — confirm the exact location when booking.
