Twilight Tastes Food Tour with 15+ Tastings

From there it turns into a roaming feast through the streets, with 8 to 9 stops. You sample tacos, handmade tortillas, panuchos and salbutes, and deeper traditional dishes such as turkey relleno negro and queso relleno, the cheesy Yucatán classic.

Along the way you step into one of Mérida's cantinas for a cold beer and traditional botanas. The operator notes that the beer is not part of the package: alcoholic drinks are excluded, while bottled water is included. The tour ends after roughly 3.5 to 4 hours at Parque de la Madre, not far from the Plaza Grande.

Diet needs deserve attention. The operator is frank that the tour is unsuitable for vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian diets, because the tastings would be very limited. Gluten intolerance and mild nut allergies may be possible, though not every tasting has an alternative, and a no-seafood diet works. Tell the operator before booking if any of this applies.
