Valladolid Two Cenotes Adventure from Merida

Valladolid Two Cenotes Adventure from Merida

This tour from Merida combines two cenotes near Valladolid with time in the colonial town itself.

The first stop is Cenote Suytun, known for the stone platform that sits within its dome and the natural light that filters down onto the water — stone steps lead down into the cenote, and you'll have about an hour and a half to take photos and enjoy the setting.

From there, you'll continue to Cenote Oxman for a swim in its clear water, surrounded by vegetation and rock formations. The cenote sits on the grounds of a historic hacienda, which you can explore afterward, walking through its gardens before a buffet lunch of regional dishes made with local ingredients, served at the site (timing may vary).

The day finishes with free time in Valladolid, where you can walk the streets of the town, visit the San Servacio Church — built during the Spanish colonial era — and browse handmade crafts around the main square.

Round-trip transportation from Merida with a bilingual guide is included, along with a cooler you can use to bring your own beverages, entrance to both cenotes with a life vest and use of their pools, bathrooms and showers, and the buffet lunch with one refillable drink (flavored water).

The outing is suitable for all physical fitness levels but is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health; infants are required to sit on an adult's lap. Drinks ordered separately at the restaurant and tips are not included.
